For 6 months we’ve been investing in the Internet services of the Entrepreneurs. Until now, our model assumed investments in works during first 12 months. Why this has changed? We have studied, observed, analyzed and came to the conclusion that INFORMATION DESIRED Partners are able to perform works planned for 12 months in half a year - for their own benefit and for the benefit of the Entrepreneurs.
The Investee is you - as long as there is a cooperation between you and INFORMATION DESIRED. Other companies in our sector would call you a Client because they would like to sell you something. But we do not sell anything. We invest in you, which is a completely different thing.
Many months ago we referred to the Entrepreneurs who cooperate with us as Clients. And the word "Client" was a bit of an ear-sore to us. We thought it sounded rather disagreeable, like a nail moving down a school board. Terrible... Wrrr...
We knew that nobody was our Client because we do not sell anything. Instead of providing services, we invest in people by maintaining long-term cooperation, covering the costs and assuming the risk for the actions that are supposed to result in a stream of lucrative contracts for the Entrepreneurs. INFORMATION DESIRED is not a seller but rather an investor and advisor in one.
We engage in the previously unknown activities in the Internet marketing sector, no one else does anything similar. That's why we had trouble finding the right word to describe what we were doing and replacing the detested word "Client".
And finally, Eureka! "An Investee" - that's it! It may sound a bit contrived but it hits the nail on the head and fully denotes our idea.
Now you know the meaning of the word "Investee". But semantics doesn't end here. This is only the beginning. This word bears huge consequences and affects the relationship between us: between you and INFORMATION DESIRED.
Clients make many demands on a seller. When ordering a certain product, they identify its specifics, require a given color, size and other qualities expecting a seller to satisfy all demands.
A seller tries to satisfy its Clients as it is always a Client who calls the shots and it is the way it should be. Sometimes, a seller, who is a specialist in a given field, is not convinced that a Client asks for the best option, but he believes that a Client should receive what he asked for as long as he pays for it.
The investee, on the other hand, trusts those who invest in him. Since investors risk their money, they must be sure what they are doing and they take responsibility for the consequences of their decisions. The actions and their consequences lie in the interest of both: an Investor and Investee.
Both of them have a mutual long-term goal. However, knowing their own roles and responsibilities is very important in this relationship.
An investor is not an egg seller who wants to sell eggs and go home. The investor chooses who to invest in, who should he trust in and who has potential.
This applies to INFORMATION DESIRED. We do not work with everyone. We choose those in whom we believe, in whom we see the potential of a fruitful mutual work. INFORMATION DESIRED chooses who to invest in. Investees who benefit from our help should be aware that they don't buy any service from us, and that our mutual success also depends on their commitment.
