|We are filming a loooot of new videos for our new co-workers|
|The Internet got worse as a tool for business owners|
We are Polish but we registered our company in the United States, in Silicon Valley. People often ask us - why? If a company is doing something extraordinary on a global scale, something whose reach might cover a large part of the Earth and there's no competition at the moment, then really, there is no other way than to set up in Silicon Valley – is what Tom Kuzak, creator of INFORMATION DESIRED, believes. But there's still something else.
You often wonder at us. Like at how INFORMATION DESIRED doesn't take money “in advance”, and really, you don’t have to pay us at all. Or at how we do things, but we don’t sell anything and you can’t order anything from us. And that... The list goes on. Tom Kuzak, the creator of INFORMATION DESIRED decided to collect all of these things that you can’t wrap your head around and talk about them.
The first year of your website’s existence is very hard work. INFORMATION DESIRED takes full responsibility for it. We also invest funds in getting the project off the ground. What’s next? After that, the success that was achieved together with the client must only be maintained. You can do it yourself, without INFORMATION DESIRED’s involvement, or you can ask us for help. That depends only on you.
This question always comes up. And that's good. But we at INFORMATION DESIRED have a certain problem with it. Because it's actually two questions in one: “how much does it cost” and “how much do I have to risk”. Many companies have the same answer to both of these questions. But not us. Everything is different with us.
We have just come upon a website counter by accident. All of them. Around the entire world. On this counter you can see in real-time how several websites are added to the total every second. It’s fascinating. But also a little scary. Why?
If you want to see how many www pages there are in the world right now take a look here: Total number of Websites Incredible, right?
The total hit the first billion in September 2014. But that was only for a little while, because the number then fell, only to reach a billion again for good in March 2016. Can you imagine that in January 2016, the total number of websites was 900 mln and by December 2016 it had already reached 1.7 bln?! What would happen if there were as many web pages as there are people in the world...
It’s another issue that about 75% of the websites that exist today are inactive sites, “lost souls” of a sort. But they exist and they are crowding the network.
And here we come to why this is a little scary. The crowd, the rate at which websites are being created. Because: you own a business and you know that the potential customers you want to reach are on the Internet. So what do you think? Since they’re online then I have to be there too in order to meet them. And so you order the creation of your company’s website. But so what, since there are nearly 2 bln sites just like yours?! Exactly. That thought should give you a real scare.
Just having a company website will not guarantee success, will not cause you to gain new customers. To acquire them you must publish information that will interest your potential customers on your website. This has to be information that they desire, that they are looking for themselves on the Internet via online search engines. If your website isn’t just a dead business card of your company but a living site full of useful information about the products or services your offer, the customers will find you themselves. Otherwise they’ll get lost in the crowd.
Do you build houses? Don’t write that you have “many years of experience in building houses” on your website. That’s not useful information. Write about how you build them, what the stages of the construction process are, what technologies you apply, show your future customers photos from your construction sites. This is concrete information. This is the knowledge that will win you the customer’s trust and make them want to entrust the construction of their own home to you.
Providing “Information Desired” is precisely what INFORMATION DESIRED does. We create and manage websites for business owners so that their services don’t get lost in the crowd of the 2 bln websites already out there. We write about their companies’ services so that customers find them by themselves. We manage websites so that they bring in new customers.
By the way, do you know what the first website in the world was? Here: info.cern.ch – the website of the European Organization for Nuclear Research. This page was published on August 6th, 1991 by British physicist Tim Berners, who was a guest at the research center near Geneva.
